

Mexico’s Carnival with Jrock rhythm

This July 27 it will take place “Carnival of L’Arc”, the first of many massive events in honor of one of the most outstanding bands of all Japan, “L’Arc~en~ ciel”.
The event will take place in “Circo volador” one of Mexico City’s scenarios where hundreds of fans will meet.
One of the main points of this event’s program will be the participation of three local bands which will perform L’Arc en ciel’s covers of their greatest hits and other jrocks songs. This will be the first event organized by ATM, (Asia Times México) who which intentions are to support local bands with Asian music influences. The Purpose of ATM is to serve as a promotion platform through events like this one to expand Japanese music.
Also In the event there will be a “J music cosplay” competition, (Where everybody can dress as their favorite J musician) and trivia games where everybody can test their J music knowledge. The winners will get great prices like L’Arc en ciel Original material like DVD’s and CD’s, Photobooks, etc.
Since the news about the event got out in different forums and in the official ATM MySpace, there’s been interest by lots of Mexican fans and not just from the capital of Mexico, (Mexico City) even from other states that their willing to travel just to attend to the event. And there are reports that people from neighbor countries like the US and other Latin-American places are willing to come. “Carnival of L’Arc” is an event made by fans for fans.
